The Equans Services team has won the tender for the outsourcing contract for the operation and maintenance of the thermal plants and mechanical equipment at Verdun Hospital, which is part of the CIUSSS (Integrated University Health and Social Services Centre) of the Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal.
Equans Services ensures optimized and sustainable management of these facilities, guaranteeing their performance, reliability, and compliance with laws, codes, and regulations for the well-being of CIUSSS users.
Our proximity to teams, experience, and multi-technical expertise allow us to offer tailored solutions and ensure optimal management of HVAC technical services.
Facility Management and Asset Maintenance
Equans Services is responsible for all HVAC technical services at Verdun Hospital, including the operation and preventive maintenance of the thermal plants (both the existing one and the new one currently under construction), high-pressure steam, chilled water, and all electromechanical systems. This includes managing ventilation systems, thermal networks, medical gases (oxygen, medical air, nitrous oxide, CO₂), as well as controlling temperature, humidity, and pressure in various rooms—not to mention the pneumatic control system.
On a daily basis, Equans Services teams manage operations and all mechanical equipment at the hospital, respond quickly to emergencies, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance to anticipate needs and ensure equipment longevity.
Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency
As part of this mandate, Equans Services has integrated decarbonization and energy efficiency objectives, aiming to reduce the hospital’s energy consumption, lower operational costs, and improve comfort for workers and users.
What’s Next?
Following the expansion of Verdun Hospital, Equans Services will take over the management of the new thermal plant currently under construction and its mechanical equipment.
Through our involvement, we help maintain, improve, and optimize the overall condition of assets, while enhancing safety, comfort, and well-being for workers, occupants, and users.
